And we’re back to pink sex toys. Sorry.
The Tantus Charmer has been on my wishlist ever since I read a few great reviews on it a few months ago. I always overlooked it before then, thinking it looked rather slim and generally small, but it’s actually bigger than I imagined it to be. It’s very similar to the Tantus Tsunami, only a little bit smaller with a slightly different shape but the texture is very much alike. It’s wide at the top and gradually narrows down towards the bottom where it reaches it’s smallest point, so it’s a top-heavy dildo. I was under the impression that the whole thing would be more or less the same girth throughout the whole length, because that’s how it looks in the manufacturer images. That is not the case.
The colour isn’t my favourite, a pearly pink, but it’s light and pale and one of the nicer shades of pink. The texture comprises of 4 raised nubs, all of which are fairly pointy. It does have a base, which makes it harness suitable and anal safe, but the base is very thin compared to my other Tantus dildos. Tantus silicone is usually very firm (apart from their O2 range), and this dildo is no different.
The texture seems rather minimal, but I actually found it to be quite rough especially when combined with the drag associated with silicone, as well as the firmness of this particular material. It is not gentle at all, the ridges seem almost sharp and sometimes even painful. I can’t thrust with it very well, because the head catches on my pubic bone – I’m sure a few of you have experienced that and can relate to how uncomfortable it can be.
I like comparing it to the Tsunami, which I personally love. Even though Tsunami is much thicker, I find it way more comfortable to use and easier to thrust with. The texture on the Tsunami is more pronounced but also more gentle and I definitely prefer that. Definitely.
Charmer lacks the curve Tsunami has, which is such a shame. It is only slightly slanted, which makes the angle completely wrong for me as I really do prefer my dildos to be curvy. So even though the Tsunami is considerably girthier, somehow it manages to be easier to insert, easier to thrust with & just feels so much better in use.
There isn’t a lot going on here, so there shouldn’t be much to dislike. As far as texture goes, Charmer is mild compared to other dildos I own, yet nothing impressive jumps out at me.
I could possibly recommend this dildo to those who want something firm with ridges, that’s on the smaller side – if you’re looking for a more filling dildo, you may want to consider the Tantus Tsunami. The Charmer just doesn’t fit my anatomy at all, but I guess it could work better for other people.
